ASDI can install hoods on Air Laiden Lines and other types of converting equipment, particularly on unwind stands. If the product is not treated with a product such as Latex, it is extremely dusty. Most stationary hoods only get a small percentage of the dust since the dust has to come to them. ASDI designs hoods to move in and out and follow the roll as it gets smaller then retracts and is ready for the next set.
HIGH SLOT VELOCITY HOODS ARE USED TO INSURE AN EVEN AMOUNT OF SUCTION ACROSS THE WEB.
These hoods are efficient and not very high in requiring a large amount of static pressure. These hoods can be made to be asserted in a particular direction to concentrate on a high volume of dust in a particular area. They can also be used for cleaning the web, at time for threading up a bleed in gate is used so the web is not sucked in during threading.
All of our hoods are custom designed based on the volume of dust and the given location we have to work with.
AMCA C rated Material Handling Fans provide the suction for these hoods. ASDI can also provide any type of wet scrubber or dry filter and a briquetter.
